Silk, satin and momme: understanding the terms
Is a satin pillowcase always made of silk?
No. Satin describes a weave, while silk is a fibre. An item described as satin may have another composition. Always compare the material on the label: Ayurdoré accessories are specified as 100% mulberry silk.
What does 22 momme mean?
Momme is a unit of fabric weight per area used for silk. It describes the weight of the fabric for a given area; it is not by itself a quality certificate or proof of a skin benefit. The Ayurdoré pillowcase and mask are offered in 22 momme.
How do I choose between a 50 × 70 cm pillowcase and a square one?
Measure the pillow you already use. The Ayurdoré pillowcase measures 50 × 70 cm: choose it for a pillow of that size, and look for a square format if your pillow is square. The pillow is not included.
Can I use an eye mask when travelling?
The mask covers your eyes during rest; comfort and light reduction depend on its fit and your preferences. Its matching pouch provides storage between uses. It does not replace care for a sleep disorder.
