How to use ashwagandha powder: lattes and recipes
Are you discovering ashwagandha powder? Start with a simple preparation. The powdered root has an earthy taste that pairs well with vanilla, cinnamon, or cocoa. Here is how to incorporate it into your drink.
Check the instructions on your bag
Before preparing your recipe, read the usage advice and precautions on your packaging. Measure the indicated portion. A kitchen spoon does not always have the same volume. Use a scale when the quantity is given in grams. Multiple recipes do not mean multiple servings throughout the day.
Prepare a latte in three steps
- Pour the portion indicated on your bag into a cup. Add two tablespoons of liquid.
- Whisk to distribute the powder and limit lumps.
- Add about 200 ml of milk or plant-based drink, then mix again.
For a hot version, heat the milk separately. For an iced version, use cold milk and add ice cubes. Adjust the volume to the texture and taste you prefer.
Vanilla and cinnamon version
Add a little vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon to your latte. Start with a small amount of spices, taste, then adjust. The goal is to find a recipe you enjoy.
Cocoa version
Mix a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa with the portion of ashwagandha and a small amount of liquid. Then top up with your milk. Cocoa adds a chocolate flavor, but also its own bitterness. Adjust the recipe according to your preferences.
Why does the powder settle at the bottom?
A root powder does not dissolve like sugar. A deposit may appear. Stir before drinking and, if necessary, use a frother or a small whisk to better distribute the powder.
Store your bag after use
Use a dry spoon, reseal the bag, and follow its storage instructions. The date and precautions on the packaging remain your references.
