What does ashwagandha taste like? How to prepare it as a latte
Ashwagandha root powder has an earthy taste, with a bitterness that can vary depending on the product and preparation. It does not naturally have the sweet taste of a flavored latte mix. To discover it, combine it with ingredients you already enjoy.
Vanilla, cinnamon or cocoa
Vanilla pairs well with a milk drink. Cinnamon adds a spicy flavor. Cocoa allows for a chocolate version, but can enhance the bitterness if you use a lot. Try one combination at a time to adjust your recipe.
The choice of milk changes the preparation
Milk and plant-based drinks have different tastes and textures. Use the one you enjoy. An oat drink will give a different recipe than an almond drink. Check their ingredients if you wish to avoid added sugar.
How to soften an overly intense taste?
Follow the serving size indicated on your packet, then increase the volume of liquid to dilute the taste. Do not multiply the servings to get a deeper color. If you want a different texture, incorporate the same serving into a larger preparation.
How to limit lumps?
First mix the powder with a small volume of liquid. Whisk, then add the rest. Pouring the powder directly into a large glass can make the mixture more difficult.
A light sediment may remain, as it is root powder. Stir again before drinking.
Pure powder or flavored preparation?
A pure powder retains the taste of the plant. A flavored preparation may contain cocoa, flavorings, spices or sugar. Read the list of ingredients to know what you are buying and adapt your recipe.
